These past months have been a time of change and we are so proud of how everyone at MindfulnessUK and our students have adapted, from face to face to online-based teacher training. We have had a lot of positive feedback, in particular being available to answer your queries and help you along your journey, and we are always thinking about how to make teacher training as accessible and as straight forward as possible.
We held a workshop for our Alumni Members last week and it was great to see so many familiar faces. It was an opportunity to hear from marketing and social media experts, gain hints and tips, and to have some time to talk with your peers, Stephanie and Karen. We would love to hear from our graduates and Alumni Members. Please email claire@mindfulnessuk.co.uk with anything you want to share, photos or student feedback, so we can support you further and share on our channels.

Retreats in 2020 and 2021
A retreat is required to give teachers an opportunity to deepen their practice and to experience the kinds of processes that might arise for their participants doing more intensive practice, such as day retreats, and in response to our current situation and government guidelines the British Association for Mindfulness-based Approaches (BAMBA), issued the following:
Online retreats are an acceptable alternative to face to face retreats and will remain so until at least the end of 2021 when this advice will be reviewed. Five days per year with periods of silence lasting for at least 50% of the waking time should be spent in retreat.
Following Good Practice Guidelines and embracing accessibility we have created 1-day and 2-day online retreats as well as running our residential 5-day retreat at Sharpham House, giving you options to complete the required total of 5 days, in a way that works best for you.

One of our recent students said:
I loved the course, you taught it beautifully and with such positivity and enthusiasm. I was not sure how I would feel about it, having recently come out of the IMCPP, as my impression was that MBSR is more for beginners, but I enjoyed it so much, and it was lovely to be in a smaller group. I think we were lucky and had such a lovely and also diverse mix of people. I will certainly miss it this Thursday!

Virtual Well-being Programme
Our successful programme of Virtual Well-being sessions will be changing over the summer. We will continue to run the meditation sessions with Andy, at 1pm on a Wednesday, until the 12th of August. We will then take a short break and reconvene on Weds the 9th of September.
Thank you so much for all of your continued support and everything that has been raised so far has been donated to the NHS and the Maternity unit in Tibet.
