We all seem to lead such busy hectic frantic lives these days rushing here there and everywhere never seeming to have any time to enjoy the here and now.

Walking has always been a great way to get outdoors and enjoy some fresh air, walk the dogs and re-connect with family and friends after that huge Sunday lunch but can we ever say that we truly remember the experience and take in all the scenery and the beauty that is around us that we all miss.

We walk and chat or walk alone thinking about all the things we have to do and never acknowledge the sounds, smells, and sights that we have passed by blindly in our hurry to get back.

Walking mindfully is a fantastic way to enjoy every moment of your walk. All you have to do is look around you,walk in silence, feel your feet walking and the sturdiness of the ground beneath you. If you are at the beach take off your shoes and feel the warmth of the sand then the chilliness of the sea when you dip your toes in. Soft grass on bare feet feels amazing especially after it has been raining!

Relish the sounds around you that you fail to hear when you are rushing around in your busy life. Stop and breathe in the view, there is so much of life to see and witness that you are missing, time that can never be lived again.

Mindful walking re connects you with life.. Your life,a life that is always moving forward so to capture your moments in the here and now don’t rush that walk.

Whether you are walking to work, walking around the shops, walking the dog wherever you are just tune into the here and now and you will be amazed how much of life you have been missing.
